What the heck goes on in the AZ Legislature?

Here's the scoop . . .

What we just witnessed during the Red For Ed Walk-Out & the last 48 hours of the AZ 53rd Legislature is just a small sample of the shenanigans that have been going on for far too long & why it is so important that we know more about the candidates before we elect them to office.

Kirsten Engel
Kirsten Engel is a member of the AZ House of Representatives for Legislative District 10. First elected in 2016 and now running for re-election, Kirsten was compelled to run for public office by the crisis in public education funding and what she saw as the state’s failure to adequately protect Arizona’s desert environment and invest in clean renewable energy. Kirsten’s first term as a legislator has been an eye-opening experience into the inner workings of our system of state government. Kirsten’s career began as an environmental lawyer working for the EPA and the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund. She is currently a professor of law at the University of Arizona where she co-directs the Environmental Law Program.
